Award Winning Wine

PIRR White Colheita 2023, the first EVER release from Herdade Dos Toucinhos Lda of the Alentejo region, won the Grand Gold Medal for the Best Wines of Alentejo, 2025. The respected annual competition was arranged and overseen by the Confraria dos Enófilos do Alentejo, with the support of the CVRA and the Alentejo Tourism Authority.

Produced by Herdade dos Toucinhos, PIRR White Colheita 2023 stood out among dozens of candidates for the expressiveness of its palate with fresh citrus notes being elegantly complemented by nuances of peach and apricot and for presenting a distinct character, reflecting the essence of our southern Alentejo vineyard.

The award recognises the brand’s commitment to excellence and innovation in the production of white wines.

With 82 hectares in a unique terroir in Almodôvar, a new production area within the Alentejo, and a team of 20 dedicated people, we’ve proved that authenticity, local knowledge and a vision of the future can bear fruit of excellence,’

This recognition rewards the significant work that has been done at Herdade dos Toucinhos Lda over the past 10 years and has acknowledged the position of Almodóvar as a new and interesting addition to the greater Alentejo wine region.
